By accessing, registering for, or using Outstand's AI-directed video and content generation platform (the "Service") at outstand-ai.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Outstand ("we," "us," or "our").
If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Outstand provides a web-based platform for generating video and other content using artificial intelligence, including a chat-directed generation workflow ("Story Canvas"), a media library, and related tools. The Service is "bring your own key" (BYOK): to generate content, you connect your own API key for one or more third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic, ElevenLabs, and kie.ai). We do not provide, sell, or sublicense access to any AI provider's models ourselves — we provide the interface, orchestration, and storage layer that uses your own credentials to call them.
To use the Service, you must:
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and any API keys you connect. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@jahidh.me if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and paying for your own accounts and API keys with any third-party AI provider you connect to the Service. Your use of those providers is governed by their own terms of service, usage policies, and pricing — Outstand is not a party to that relationship and has no control over, and no liability for, a provider's availability, pricing changes, output quality, content policies, or account actions (including suspension of your key by that provider). We store your keys encrypted and use them only to route the generation requests you initiate.
Outstand is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase, typically preceded by a card-required free trial, and in some cases as a recurring subscription plan. Current pricing and plan terms are displayed at outstand-ai.com. By subscribing or starting a trial, you agree to the pricing and terms in effect at the time of sign-up.
Where offered, the free trial requires a valid payment card on file and runs for the number of days stated at checkout. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will automatically be charged the full lifetime (or plan) price stated at sign-up, and your account converts to paid access. You can cancel from Settings → Billing at any time during the trial — cancelling during the trial ends your access immediately and you will not be charged.
All payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your designated payment method for all fees you incur, including the automatic trial-end charge described above. You are responsible for providing valid payment information and for all applicable taxes.
We reserve the right to modify pricing for new sign-ups at any time. Changes do not retroactively affect a lifetime purchase you have already completed.
Fees are non-refundable once charged, except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion. Cancelling a free trial before it ends avoids any charge entirely; cancelling a recurring plan stops future renewals but does not refund the current billing period. If you believe you have been incorrectly charged, contact us at hello@jahidh.me within 30 days of the charge.
For recurring plans, cancelling stops future renewals; you retain access until the end of the period you already paid for. Failure to pay outstanding fees may result in suspension of your account.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms and the acceptable-use policies of any AI provider you connect. You may not use the Service to:
Violations of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund.
You retain all ownership rights to the prompts, inputs, and resulting generated content you create through the Service ("User Content"), subject to the license terms of any underlying AI model or provider that produced it — some providers place their own restrictions on output ownership or commercial use, and you are responsible for reviewing and complying with those. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., storing it in your media library and routing it to the provider you selected). This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to all User Content and inputs you submit, and that they do not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before using, publishing, or relying on it — AI-generated content can be inaccurate, unexpected, or unsuitable for your purpose, and we make no representation as to its accuracy, appropriateness, or fitness for any use.
The Service integrates with third-party AI providers through their respective APIs, using the credentials you supply. We are not responsible for changes to a provider's API, pricing, availability, or content policies that affect Service functionality or your ability to generate content. We reserve the right to add, remove, or change which providers the Service supports at any time.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, NOR DO WE WARRANT THE ACCURACY, QUALITY, OR APPROPRIATENESS OF ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUTSTAND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, OR FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDER'S ACTIONS, OUTPUT, OR UNAVAILABILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Outstand and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your use of a connected AI provider, or your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@jahidh.me or via your account settings. Upon termination, all outstanding charges become immediately due and your access to the Service will cease. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of a completed lifetime purchase.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, for violation of these Terms, non-payment, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion. No refunds will be issued for terminations due to policy violations.
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@jahidh.me to attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Outstand regarding the Service. We may update these Terms at any time; for material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
